Unexpected Christmas gift....

To myself. I'd purchased a new Didy Moss linen the other day, and lo and behold, what came in the mail yesterday but my new wrap! DH and I decided not to exhange gifts this year, so it really did feel like Christmas when I got to unwrap my package!

And, BTW, this wrap rocks my world. SOOOO supportive. But not for a new wrapper- I'd have been supremely annoyed with it a year ago!

  • Yeah Merry Christmas!  My Moss is my all time favorite wrap.  I got ours bnib from a mama on TBW who dyed it for me as well, so it was a beast but I had fun breaking it in.  We love it so much, we sleep with it everynight.  It actually becomes really soft and floppy.  I'm hoping after the new year to be able to buy another Moss or Sunset.

  • One of my friends gave me a didy for Christmas.  You are right - not beginner friendly!  I'm a first time mom to a 3 week old and it's confusing.  However - practice makes perfect right?  I did purchase a seven sling but DS hates it.  I can get him to sit for about 10 minutes but that sling doesn't seem comfy for him.  Hopefully I can get used to the didy soon and he will like it!

Some Didy's are easier to use than others. This particular wrap I'm talking about is nicknamed "the beast", if that gives you any idea! Do you have someone nearby who could help you with learning to wrap? There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's really nice!

  • The one I have may qualify for "the beat" name!  It's longer than I am!  I don't have anyone but the DVD to help me out - maybe I should get a simpler one?  Any recommendations?

Which wrap do you have? (your blue box should have a name on the end of it. Smile) Most wraps are longer than you are, unless you have a shorty, which are a more advanced wrap to use. Do you happen to know the length? That should be on the box as well. The different carries you can do depend upon the length. I didn't any anyone nearby to help me either- I learned everything I know off of You Tube, www.thebabywearer.com and this board.
