Gifts that were not age appropriate even for my two year old who got the same thing. They even gave my 7 week old a reese's cup and smarties. WTF? Then her outfit was blue with Mikey Mouse and for 6/9 months.

Not to mention she emarrassed the he** out of me in front of her whole family by commenting on my breast size. (This was the one and only time I left all of the kids to go have an adult conversation.) BIG MISTAKE!! I was told I was unsociable because I stayed with the kids, but at least my feelings weren't hurt and I wasn't embarrassed.

Wow she doesn't sound like a very smart cookie!! What kind of gifts are those? Geesh. Sorry she embarrassed you. I am sure she embarrassed herself even more.

MIL gave DS diapers, formula, a case of babt food puree, teethers, rattles, toy keys, some gift certificates, and 12 month clothing... my LO wears 9mo now.

Hey Searcy- WTF is it with families commenting on boob sizes? My family does that to me too. In my case- they KNOW i am nursing. Even if i am not- i am bigger. I can't do anything about it so i dont see the point in discussing my boobs.

Oh god, I hate my boobs but as of yet, no one has commented on my boob size (to my face at least), and if they do, they will get my wrath because my boobs are preventing me from looking like a normal person in shirts...but then I remember it's for the health of my child and I kind of stop caring.

 

Your MIL sounds like she's a little off her rocker. Sorry!

I don't know why people (especially family) feel the need to comment on the size of put breast just because we are pregnant or BF. My grandmas husband saw me nursing and said I had "big 'ol titties" it was embarrassing for everyone involved.

WOWWWW... is that because of your size or that fact that you were "showing them off" by BF? Either way, completely inappropriate.

My H makes comments, but they don't bother me because mine were so small to begin with that I like them now

My MIL gave LO dog toys. Yep... she saw them on an aisle end at the grocery store and thought they were baby toys (despite the packaging with pictures of dogs on it!) and bought 2. She got them home and realized what they were but brought them anyway because they were cute and she thought I might want to give them to him to play with anyway. Um, no thanks, dog toys are made to come apart pretty easily!
