Poor DS... thats one way to get the molar through!

The LOs were playing before bed when DS lost his balance and started to tip over.  he managed to regain his balance but plopped down really hard on his butt and must have jarred his head and he smacked his top and bottom jaw bc he started SCREAMING.

I was so confused bc he plopped down on his butt... what could possibly be wrong?  Well his lower left molar is like 50% through the skin and i guess the jarring and slamming of his jaw together made some skin over that molar bust and his poor little gums were bleeding like mad!

After a few minutes laying on the kitchen counter chewing on a cold teething ring and tickles he was laughing and ready for bath time.

  • Ouch! It's interesting, Tegan cut her top teeth in a very similar way. I was getting her out of the tub one evening and she fell forward and hit her mouth on the side of the tub. She screamed, it was awful, and immediately started crying. She bled for a bit, I cried for a bit and after a frozen teether and some hugs and kisses seemed to feel much better. It wasn't till the next morning that I noticed that her two top teeth were showing. Apparently, when she bit down on her top gum, it helped the teeth to break through. Tough way to go about it...
