OK, so now that DD is formula fed she is more likely to spit up. If she spits up, does that mean she has reflux? Does it still count as a full feeding? When is spit up bad?
My DD still spits up. Not all the time and not a lot but I think she has reflux. I have it, DH has it and my parents both have it...so why wouldn't she...lol. I would talk to your pedi about it. DD is on whole milk now and still has spit up sometimes!
No, it doesn't. Babies just spit up. It's part of their digestive system being immature. It still counts as a full feeding, they don't spit up as much as you think. It's bad if it bothers her to spit up, or if it's in massive quantities. You may try a different formula.
DS started spitting up when he started on solids. It was around the same time that he learned to sit up and about a month later I weaned him from breast to formula. He STILL spits up.
I've been told it's common when they learn to sit up and crawl. I've also been told that soy formula might be better, but I found it to be worse.
Just the last couple days I've started giving DS yogurt and I'm not sure if it's why, but he hasn't been spitting up at all. Well, nothing compared to last week. It's gone from about 10 times a day to about two or three tiny times.
I agree with pp that if it's bothering her then see the Doc.
