I think he got me a Roomba!!  I can't believe how excited I am to find out if I'm right.  The box came from Costco and is the right shape and weight.  

Please, please, please.... I've been drooling over one for years.  I hate sweeping and vacuuming and would love a little robot to do it for me.

Oh I miss our roomba.  We had two labs when we lived in Chicago and although it did not take care of all the hair, it really helped me out a ton.  We only have one lab now and I still have to vacuum every two days.  Enjoy it!

I miss our roomba, for some reason SO and I convinced ourselves we didn't need it anymore and gave it to SIL. I totally regret it now. Hope you get it! They have one that shampoos now too.

I got a Roomba for Christmas three years ago, and it's awesome. Not only does it pick up dirt all around the house, it's so sturdily built that either of my children can sit indian-style on it and get a free ride while our cracker crumbs and pet hair magically disappear!

I would adore a pet hair eraser vacuum for Christmas! I dropped hints...we shall see. I like getting kitchen gadgets, too. Two Christmases ago DH bought me a blender! Reminded me of Father of the Bride, except I was THRILLED with it!

Haha, I know! I always ask DH for kitchen stuff, and he never gets it for me. This year I got a Bed, Bath and Beyond GC from DH dad and stepmom for Christmas, and I am already planning everything I am going to buy. Pizza stones! Cooling racks! Apple corer! The sky's the limit lol.

I am totally jealous.  I want one so bad - I vaccuum every.single.day and I hate hate hate it.  I would probably still vaccuum regularly (cause despite hating it, I'm obsessed with keeping our wood floors clean) but at least the DAILY vaccuuuming would stop.  Ahhh the freedom!  lol

 

FWIW, two years ago, DH gave me a handheld vac as one of my xmas gifts.  Yup.  I asked for one.  Insanity.  lol

Yeah, I never got who started the rumor that giving kitchen/cleaning gadgets was a bad thing.  Unless it's a noodle strainer, I can't think of a gadget that I wouldn't love.  Then again, I love to cook, so that helps.

DH got me a dyson (early present) and I LOVE it.  I wanted a new vaccum soooo badly; I can hardly believe that he listened.

Of course everyone is giving him a hard time about it getting me a vaccum for Christmas but I am so happy with my gift.

My dad got me a Dyson one year and I was so excited I jumped up and down! I hope you get your Roomba. I figure it's only a faux pas if you tell him you want this fabulous pair of boots and then he gets you the vaccum instead. If you ask for it totally not a faux pas IMO.
