Update: Eyelid puffy and eye swollen shut?

Anyone else ever have this?  Jackson woke up like this earlier.  I am waiting for the doctor to open.  He seems totally fine otherwise... just kind of looks like Popeye.  Hopefully I can get an appt. before everyone leaves for the holidays.

ETA:  No oozing, no eye boogers.  Eye is clear, but eyelid is red and swollen shut.

Update:  Doctor said it's pink eye.  I said it wasn't oozing and they said it would start within 24 hours.  Apparently it's been going around here lately.  They didn't even want me to bring him in, they prescribed drops over the phone and I got them and got him his first dose already.  Ugh.  No Christmas Eve party for us

No oozing.  No eye snot.  Yes, he was sick.  He is on day 8 of his antibiotic and seems totally better, except for this eye thing.

That was pink eye for us, with lots of goop in the eye.

It could be pink eye or just a blocked tear duct?  I would definitely take him to the dr.!

Yes, but she is typing no oozing. Could be an allergy, did you buy a new detergent? Or use a new cleaning product in his room. Sounds like an allergic reaction.

Called the dr.  They said it is pink eye and it will start oozing within 24 hours.  Gross.  I guess my Christmas Eve festivities are canceled.

One of my sisters who was with him the other day woke up with a swollen eyelid also, and her eye is slightly pink and hurts.  So I guess she has it too now.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but we always celebrate with our other Jewish friends at a Christmas Eve party thrown by one of our Catholic friends and her family and I was SO looking forward to it.  Boooooo

He has been sick about 3 of every 4 weeks since beginning daycare.  I am so frustrated.  At least I don't celebrate the holiday, then this would really suck.  I'm missing a party that I'm bummed about, but not a huge deal.

Poor guy can't catch a break.  Hopefully it heals quickly and you and your Dh don't catch it.

That stinks but you are SUPER lucky to have gotten to it before the oozy stage - that is no fun.  That medicine works really fast - he'll be back to normal before you know it!
