Babies: 0 - 3 Months

I'm totally taking the lazy way out...

With presents.

We didn't put up our huge tree this year b/c it is a huge pain to put together and decorate and we were out of town for the majority of the month.  I was not totally happy about this but Alex had a good argument.  So, no tree won.

Since there is no tree, I've decided that I don't need to wrap any of Kate's presents.  Instead, I am going to display them all cute after she goes to bed tomorrow night.  My thinking is that she will love seeing new toys all set up on the mantle when we wakes up.  Except she is 4 months old and won't have a clue as to what is going on.

I even made sure we have one gift for her that needs to be put together so Alex and I have to sit up tomorrow night building a present like parents should.

So, no wrapping for me.  I feel like a lazy mom.  But, whatev.  I'll wrap next year b/c we all know a 16 month old will care more about the wrapping paper than the presents.

  • I took the easy way out and had SO wrap Santa's presents (although I had to bite my tongue at his wrapping ability and remember that they are for a 2 month old who has no idea what is going on). Seems so silly though! It isn't like she will have a clue what a present is. We only got her a few small things from Santa, and I got her jammies to open on Christmas Eve. I'm definitely looking forward to the years when she gets excited for Christmas!

  • eh, instead of wrapping all the small stuff separately we just put it all in a big box and wrapped it.

  • I totally wish I could get away with not wrapping presents.  DH insists that Wesley's presents be wrapped.  Why?  I have no idea.  I'm just going to have to un-wrap them for him.  Hmm

  • I wrapped DDs or put them in the bags, DS will love helping his sister unwrap them =)
  • I am SO glad I'm not the only one! We're doing the exact same thing. We'll both assemble Torin's ExerSaucer tomorrow night. That's really the only gift that needs assembling.

  • You and KJ are not the only ones!

H wanted me to wrap all her presents. Um, no. I'm the one that will have to do all the unwrapping. Next year, yes. I wrapped one gift to take to my grandparents for the "festivities". but the rest of the stuff is underneath the tree, naked.
