Wondering about the parking lot lady?

For those who remember, my friend got run over in the church parking lot by a little old woman who promptly had a heart attack.

As of today, my friend is at the nursing home where she's the administrator and my mom is the director of nursing...and she's sharing a room with the lady who ran her over. Both are fine and should be going home within 1-2 months.

  • Wow, what a turn of events. Glad to hear all are doing well.
  • Yeah that is amazing. Sharing a room.  Bet they have a lot to talk about...lol.  I can joke now that everyone is doing good :-)  Thanks for the update!

  • Oh, wow.  I never saw the original story.  Are they getting along well enough to share a room?  What happened to your friend?  Do you have the link to the original post?  I'm glad that everyone is doing well.
  • I know! Kathy wanted to make sure the lady knew she had no hard feelings, and I guess nothing says that like sharing a room. :)
  • I'm glad to hear they're both doing well. Strange that they're sharing a room though.

  • Strange, and yet the lady has gone to Kathy's church forever, and they think the heart attack may have actually begun before the accident and could have been the real reason it happened. Kathy is such a saint, she's much more worried about her than herself. And since she's the boss, no one's going to tell her "no."
  • Your friend sounds like a wonderful person. I'm glad they're both ok.

  • I'm very glad to hear that your friend is OK.

The irony of having to share a room with her though is the stuff from which good comedies are made.
  • Not irony. She arranged it. She runs the nursing home, and when your boss is going to be living on site for 30 days, apparently no one wants to be the one that says "are you sure that's a good idea?" I guess this lady has been very upset and didn't want to see anybody from church. Kathy figured the best way to show people they should let it go is to be the first one to let it go.
  • She sounds like an awesome woman with a very generous spirit.  I think I would have a hard time "letting it go" but she is exactly right.
