I'm wanting to plan a family vacation for the end of next year. Any one have any suggestions on where to go? My 6 yo son is easy to please so I know it doesn't have to be disneyworld, but still something he'll remember!
Growing up we went on vacation every summer. Sometimes it was a trip to see my dad's side of the family in OK(I was raised in FL), but most often when I was younger we went to the bahamas(the island of North Bimini, specifically) and went lobstering right before school started(that was when lobster season opened).
When I started High School, we started going to Jupiter, Fl and staying in a hotel with a pool and going fishing, I never went fishing, but just stayed at the hotel and swam all day. We did that for both memorial day and labor day weekends for 2 1/2 years.
Then the labor day we didn't go to Jupiter, we went to a little spit-wad of a town in the "arm pit" of Fl called Steinhatchee and went scalloping. This is fun! My mom was raised in the panhandle, so this was something she grew up doing. It's super easy. Pick up some snorkeling gear, ask around to see where they're picking them up, rent a boat if you dont have one and once you get to the spot, you just flounder around for a while picking them up! You just have to be careful when picking them up, if their shells close on your finger, it can be quite painful!
Re: NBR- Family Vacations
Owen Anders: labor (natural onset), failed VBAC, emergency c/s.
Does your family have any hobbies?
This is what I did as a kid:
