A few weeks ago I bought a carseat for my mom's car at Target.com. I had a 10% off coupon code.
I was just checking my bank account online, and I see they credited me for the full amount.
Should I call them? Or just forget about it and consider it a Christmas gift from the Bullseye?
FWIW, the difference is about $18.
Re: WWYD: Target return credit more than I paid
I would check and recheck my receipt to make sure the difference isn't just the sales tax refunded. Then if it were legitimately, truly an overcreditted amount I would call and have them fix it. I can't bring myself to keep money that is not mine.
Was your 10% off coupon for your whole purchase or just that one item? If they couldn't link the coupon directly to the carseat, it might be why they refunded the full amount.
ETA: if it were the other way around, and they didn't refund you enough wouldn't you call to say something?
This is a no-brainer to me: if they refunded too much then it's not your money and keeping it is stealing. If it was reversed and you didn't get enough back wouldn't you be calling to fix it?
I have to admit I was kind of surprised at the answers to keep the money.
i'd keep it, and not think twice about.
Call and see if they want to fix it. They will probably tell you not to worry about it. But it would be the right thing to do.
My baby is two!!! Baby girl 9/17/09
My other baby is still a baby! Baby Boy 11-30-11
Id keep it.
BUT, if you do call and blah blah, they will most likely say thanks but not to worry. I don't think Target is going to hurt for that $18.
