Confused how on to wear Ergo on hip

I like to think I am educated   However I cannot understand the video on how to wear the ergo on the hip

Does anyone have pictures or instructions on how to use this?

Yeah I can't figure it out either. I traded for my ergo so I don't have any paperwork or anything either.

I have an older Ergo, so I'm not exactly sure how it may have changed in newer iterations, but you unclip the shoulder straps.

Waist belt around your waist.

Baby on hip.

Cross the front strap over your opposite shoulder and clip in the back (so it will be clipped to the opposite clip that it ordinarily would be).  Then the back strap comes around your waist (under the baby's back arm) and clips in front.

It's really awkward and I almost never do it.

I followed the video and even went to a babywearing store to make sure I was doing it right, but the hip carry with the Ergo was just never comfortable for me. As much as I really wanted to be able to see DD when we were out and about, I just kept using the back carry.
