Traveling on plane with LO

Do you need to take anything like birth certificate to get on the plane?

Any tips for traveling with 3.5 month old?

I had a copy of the birth certificate in my diaper bag just in case, but I also had a paid seat for him. If they're active, bring toys to distract them. Lucas was SO much harder to keep entertained this trip bc this dummy forgot some toys. And definitely feed or use a paci during take off/landing.

I brought Kate's just to be safe. No one asked for it.

I found flying with her to be super easy. Don't bring anything for yourself to do as you won't have time to do anything but deal with the baby. She slept most of the flight which was nice. Good luck!

Someone posted the other day to make sure LO's bottle lids are screwed on tight after TSA checks them. Check your airline's website about the birth certificate, most airlines require it, according to their websites. As PP said, paci or nursing are a MUST during take-off/landing.. I did it for every flight except one because DD and I fell asleep and woke up to her SCREAMING.. as soon as I started nursing her, though, she stopped. I also brought my boppy and a front-carrier. She was a lap-baby, but in almost every flight, we had an empty seat next to us, so I laid her down on her boppy so she could look around. The front carrier helped in the airport, she slept while I walked around and I didn't need a stroller and had both hands free.

DS has been on a plane about 6 different times and he has slept every flight except one.  I think that the "white noise" of the plane puts him right out.  I just help him and nursed during take off and landings.  It's actually easier than you think.  I always take a birth certificate but have never been asked for it.
