After the stump falls off....

Should I put alcohol on the belly button (it's kinda gooky)? Or just give her a bath and call it a day? I feel like alcohol will hurt her, but I think that's what the pedi told me to do when it fell off...I don't remember.

    We stopped putting alcohol on DD's belly button as soon as the stump fell off.. but hers wasn't gooky. IDK.

    we never put alcohol on ours, but when it fell off it was pretty yucky looking still..gooky..we gave him a bath the night it fell off and its a perfect little belly button now.

    My LO's belly button STILL has gunk in it all the time. It's also kind of an "outie" so I'm not sure if it's just not completely healing right?? I'm constantly picking the crusties out of it and cleaning it. haha It's become an obsession almost!

    We didn't put any alcohol on it at all...  our pedi told us to pretend it wasn't there.  Stump fell off at 8 days, gave him a bath, and his belly button was looking great by the next day.
