I take it at night or I will put him in his crib with his busy ball popper. I love that it makes noise whenever he hits the little lever thing. I can hear him playing, so I know he is okay. Plus, he is happy playing with it.
Either after they go to bed at night, before they wake up in the morning, or during their nap in the afternoon if we don't have to go anywhere in the morning. Occasionally I'll take a quick one while they're awake if I need to for some reason. I put on a movie in my room and leave the door open to the bathroom (that's like 5 feet away from the tv) so I can hear them. Half the time they end up in the bathroom with me anyway, playing peekaboo with the shower curtain.
DD has taken one nap a few times, but sometimes we get out early before her morning nap. I either shower the night before when DH is home, or I bring her in the bathroom with me. Yesterday i brought some toys in for her to play with, but she just kept opening the shower curtain lol. When I am doing my makeup she plays with my makeup brushes.
At night or if I'm in dire need a fresh shower I bring her into the bathroom with me. She plays with her toys. I have a glass shower door so I can see her the whole time. Every now and then she'll walk up to the* shower and tell me to hurry up lol
I take one at night. But there are a few times I had to take one in the morning when DH was gone and DS just took one with me. I don't like to w/ him because it's such a PITA and it scares me that I'll drop him.
Well darnit. at night is out of the question. And I have tried setting an alarm but she always seems to wake up while I'm in the shower. I think i need to invest in a pack and play

On weekdays I get up before him and shower/get ready. On weekends I usually shower during his nap (which starts around 11am). If we need to go somewhere before his nap I wake up before he does and get ready.
If I don't feel like waiting until his nap I just bring him in the shower with me. He loves it! Once I'm done with my shower I sit down in the tub and fill it and we play.
I used to take it at night but now that I keep falling asleep at 9....I've been taking them in the morning before he wakes up. If she wakes up while you're in the shower can't she make it for the few minutes until you can get out to get her? Or would she be really upset?

I just lock the door to the bedroom so she can play in the bedroom/bathroom. We've baby proofed everything in those rooms so she can't get hurt. She usually plays in my closet... takes all my shoes off the racks or in my dirty clothes or empties the drawers that aren't baby proofed. (I made sure it's all stuff she can't hurt herself with/ingest). Works out well for us so far, although up until this week I didn't have to lock the door... now that she can open doors I have to be sure to lock them every time.

can you try just putting her in her crib while you shower? It's a safe place for her to "wait" for you. That's what I do if it doesn't work out with DD's nap schedule.
i shower and get ready before she wakes up then it's off to get her ready and off to daycare we go !

I close my bedroom door and open my bathroom door ( the bathroom in my master bdrm) and turn on cartoons and she will play with toys and walk into the bathroom to talk to me and that is that. Our room is childproofed so she can't get hurt easily. I am only in the shower for a brief time anyway.
At night. Why can;t you shower at night? I always have been a night shower person though. I hate going to bed all smelly and stinking up my sheets and pillow.
I shower before she gets up...or lately because of having bilateral ear infections I have showered a few times with her in the high chair eating breakfast in the bathroom with me.

I am still trying to figure it out. I either do it at night, which I hate, or put her in her crib and take a quick shower in the am. If I was not super lazy I would wake up before G and shower, but I am and I don't.

DH works evenings (doesn't leave until 1:30pm) so I have all morning to get ready at my own leisure for the most part.
There are days where he has to go in early so I'll just get up before DD wakes up (which is usually 9am.)
Basically this. I feel so much better if I'm completely ready for the day before he wakes up.
