t&p request for DH

Long story but...

DH has his own gardening business in the spring/summer/fall months. He does great with it, even had to hire some help this year. He is able to accumulate a little savings to get us through the winter. Well, the past 2 winters, he has also taken a job at a local ski resort so that we don't have to wipe out our savings each year. It's a crappy job, but he feels like it is necessary. At the end of last year's ski season, he started having issues with his feet. Saw a podiatrist, who said he had some kind of underlying circulation issue, which brought on some frostbite. It improved as soon as ski season was over, and he had no issues all summer.

Well, he started back 3 weeks ago, and we've had the coldest December on record so far. We spent a small fortune on some -40? boots and crazy expensive socks. I've been asking him about his feet almost daily and he kept swearing they were fine. Then I saw them the other night. It's back. And I think it is actually bothering him worse than last year, I notice him fidgeting his feet all the time.

I have told him it is not worth it, he needs to quit or request a transfer to an indoor position, but he is VERY proud. He wants to provide for his family, he doesn't want to be seen as a "whimp." So if you could send some vibes his way to give him the strength to talk to his supervisor today, it would be awesome. Jobs here are crazy scarce, so I don't know if he will find anything else, but I just want him to stay healthy and in one piece.

Oh man, that's a tough situation! Yay for him for wanting to provide for you guys, but it's not worth risking his health! I hope he can find something inside and heal up quickly.
