So I posted yesterday about CD 21 progesterone testing for luteal phase deficiency, and you ladies said you also were under the impression that this should be done 7 DPO, not necessarily ON CD 21.
Doctor's nurse just called back and said doctor wants it done today (CD 21) because regardless of how long my cycles are, I "should ovulate around day 14 or 15." WHAT?! I've been charting for three years now and have NEVER O'd that early.
They ordered the labwork, but I don't want to have it done if it's going to tell me nothing. I hate to second-guess the doc, but should I ask for a second opinion? This is a regular OB, not an RE. WWYD?
?
BTW- Still haven't O'd yet this cycle.?
?
?
Re: Grrr... (doctor's office vent)
I would do the test and when the results come in tell them what day you typically O, etc. I have found that the nurses often don't trust our charting. The idea that someone knows what their body is doing is not something they readily accept b/c they meet so many people that don't have a clue. Sorry you have to deal with the hassle but I would probably follow their advise and go from there.
