stripping in a front loader?

Good morning! 

So my pockets have been weird since we went to MN for Thanksgiving and leaking all. the. time.  I've checked fit and that's not the problem.  She'll leak out of her diaper but the inside will be mostly/totally dry.  So I think we've got repelling. 

I've been trying to read about how to do it online but it's made me even more confused as to what to try.  I thought I'd remembered everyone saying they used blue Dawn to strip so that's what I bought yesterday.  Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!  Also what your stripping wash routine looks like in your HE machine.
