Moments that make it worthwhile...

I have always helped the girls buy presents for their mom.  The woman hates me, but I do it for the girls (because they want to get their mom something nice) and I do it to take the load off of FI.

Sometimes I would make suggestions "Hey, do you think your mom would like this?" or sometimes when FI was busy, I would even take them out shopping.  I always offer wrapping supplies as well.

This year the oldest and I have just been doing things by email.  She sent the links to the stuff her mom wanted and I have ordered it (she doesn't have a credit card and we get free shipping on Amazon).  She sent an email this past Sunday telling me how much she appreciated all of my help with getting the present together for her mom.

It was nice to feel that my efforts have been recognized.  Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.
