HCG level after miscarriage

I am having my levels tested every week.  Last week they were 67, this week they were 11, so I have to take them one more time.  Hopefully they will be low enough by then.

Once my HCG level reaches below 5, will I automatically get my period, or can you only get your period once it is below 5?  I hope I worded that correctly.

Not sure if you get it immediately but this is what I saw on another website:

Until all of the HCG levels drop to zero within the body, a woman cannot go back to a normal ovulating cycle. In most cases, this naturally happens within 2 weeks.

Granted, I was at 41 hcg when I had my heavy bleeding and then was at 6 hcg when I was at the end of the miscarriage.

I still have to go in to check where my levels...

I'm not sure exactly of the answer or if this will help, but I've been having mine tested every week too and they dropped from 57 (about 2 weeks ago) to 9 last Friday (11 days later).  My period just started yesterday, but I still need to get tested later this week to see if they are at 0 yet.  My understanding is once they are that low then you could get your period anytime as you might be at 11 one day and a day or two later at 5. I don't know if it's automatic, but I think it is usually around the same time.

Hope you reach zero soon so you can stop being tested!
