Daycare Costs: newborn

We live in Westchester and I have visited one daycare, so far, which is walking distance from where we live and the train to the city.  They are opened 7-6:30.  It's $1700 a month, which I thought was a lot until I looked at the daily/hourly breakdown.  Just curious...what do others pay?
