How do you put bows on your NICU DD?

The Nurses said we could bring bows in to put in DD hair, but I'm not sure what i should get, avoid, or use to get them in .... I see pictures of your beautiful little girls with bows, so I know someone knows. 

I asked my nurse last time and she said she wasn't sure.

 So what kind of bows do you look for and what do you use to put them in?

Our nurses made little bows and brought them in for our girls, they "stuck" them to their heads using ky jelly.  I wasn't a fan and let them know we weren't really bow-type folks.  I've also seen some on large headbands with flowers or bows, parents would wash and seal in a ziploc bag immediately and then bring in  a clean transport bag into the nicu, same process as bringing in clothes and blankets for isolette.

tiny little bows stick with KY jelly. those were "NICU approved"

We did the tiny bows with ky jelly as well...i think you can find those little bows at the craft store maybe in the scrapbooking area?? Then when DD was in preemie clothes someone made her preemie headbands and I also clipped on big flowers and bows onto the mesh headbands. If you are having trouble finding some, I'd be happy to make you some! It is my new hobby

I brought in a headband with a bow.  It was a little big but we were able to get a few good pics.

I would love that. I've been looking everywhere, even on line, I couldn't find any good information on it. I'm not good with bows. But I have been working on tiny baby shoes.

Thank you all =D. Now I have a better idea of how to work this =D . I really just want a cute picture for an announcement and would like her to have something on since she can't wear any clothes yet. And She has such a personality she seems like a prissy little girl that would like bows and headbands.
