Please rec. your baby food book

Do you use a baby food book? Or do you just feed them individual vegetables or puree whatever you are eating? Also, what do you use to make your baby food? (Specific equipment brands requested) I was thinking about buying the fancy, all in one steamer/processor combo that seels for about $140...but I read scary reviews on Amazon citing brown mold growing in the units water reservoir. Yikes! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

Re: Please rec. your baby food book

  • I use wholesomebabyfood.com for ideas/recipes. She's starting to eat what we eat now if it's mushy enough. To make her food I use a KitchenAid Chef's Chopper - it's a little 3 cup food processor. I puree food in there then transfer to ice cube trays to freeze (they freeze into about 1 oz cubes). Once frozen, transfer to zip lock freezer bags for long-term storage. This system is working wonderfully for us :)
