So not fair...

My DH and I take shifts with LO, as I work days until 7a-330p, and DH goes to work at 430p.  My parents were in town Friday and Saturday and spent most of both days fussing over LO of course.  I don't have a problem with that.  It was really cute and obviously meant a lot to them (they live over 2000 miles away).  However, that got LO's schedule all off.  She would be taking a nap and make a small sound, and my mom would run over and pick her up!  LOL  Yesterday was the first full day without them here.  We tried to get her back on schedule, but she took quite awhile to settle down for the night.  She usually sleeps 6-7 hours at night before her 530a nursing session (before I go to work).  Last night she not only went to sleep late, but she woke up hungry at 430a instead of 530a.  Therefore, I got a grand total of 3 hours sleep.  I am at work now and SSSOOOOO tired!

I called DH to see how she was doing with naps.  He said she went back to sleep and slept 4 more hours after I left!  However, she is a night baby and will likely be up and active from the time I get home until bed time.  So not fair...lol

  • Oh I hear you!! Visiting with family totally screws with DS's schedule. It takes at least 2 days back at home before things start to go smoothly again. After the holidays I'm telling people that if they want to see him, they must come here, and no, they cannot just hold him while he sleeps! He doesn't let me put him down for the first day that we're home!!! Sucks. Don't worry, she'll get back on schedule shortly.
