Second or more time mom's

This pregnancy I feel a little guilty because with DD I was so on top of it. I had a belly book and I took pictures of my belly every week and wrote all my stats in there and put all the ultra sound pictures in there too. I also could tell you how far along I was as soon as someone asked me. This time around I have not taken a single picture of my belly, haven't wrote anything down and I have my first ultra sound pictures in my purse. I always have to think how far along I am and half the time I have to get on the bump and look at my ticker to make sure I am right. I just feel really guilty like this LO is already getting the short end of the stick. Anyone else feel this way?

Me. With my first, I was like you, journaled everything. I have started a journal for this little guy, but I haven't really written a whole lot. I used to take tons of pictures of my growing belly the first time. This time I have more pictures of my belly that others have snapped then I've taken myself. Granted this is my 2nd and our 4th, so our house is pretty busy and life is not what it was when I was pregnant with DD, but I do feel a little guilty. DH is getting an HD video camera for Christmas, so we have good material to film come March.

I was like that in the 1st tri with everything else going on and its so early that you don't feel pregnant its easy to forget. My two kids keep me busy and I make sure I find the time now to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.

Me too. I haven't done one "baby" thing for #2. I've read a little on what is going on each week (but I read a few weeks at a time). I feel bad, but I just don't even think about being pregnant!

It happens!

I'm making a conscious effort to duplicate my documentation efforts with this pregnancy.  However, even with Leah, I didn't start taking belly shots until about 20 weeks when I started showing.

I made an extensive scrapbook for Leah for my pregnancy & her 1st year only.  I decided to only do one year b/c I knew it would be nearly impossible to do a scrapbook every year for however many kids we ended up having.  Now, I know that I will only do an extensive scrapbook for baby-to-be for my pregnancy and his/her 1st year. 

Maybe I am just crazy but as a middle-child I noticed many different between my sisters & I so I am making an effort to have similar events, celebrations, etc... for all my kids.

I've kind of been the same way with this pregnancy. I started taking belly pictures later and not writing down anything. But I didn't do a ton for DD's pregnancy so I'm not that far behind. GL

yup. i now installed cozi.com app on my iphone and it allows me to take a quick picture and write some text while I have 30 sec. its my online pregnancy book. not as pretty to show off as the one I made for DD but thats ok.

Thank Goodness! I thought we were the only parents who forget that there is another baby on the way! We too haven't been taking as many pictures or staying as up to date as we did with our DD. If it makes the new baby feel better, I haven't finished his sisters 1yr scrap book either..sooo

Me exactly!Oh yeah, I am pregnant, opps, forgot.  haha I was just thinking, man I didn't finish Peyton's 1st year scrapbook & I'm worried because this one doesn't have a baby book yet. Its life. Gotta just go with it.

yep.  It is all about DD1.  I think naming DD2 has helped me feel a little more connected.  but this pregnancy is flying by and I have taken one belly pic to date, not read any books, and have to check my ticker to see where I am at.  ha-ha.  I don't think it is the short end of the stick....we are giving attention to the singleton now, and giving them both a friend for life.  :-)
