how do you get LO to take vitamins

LO spits up the vitamins he needs to take. she also spits up the milk she took even if it was like an hour ago since she last nursed. im thinking that taking vitamins might end up being counterproductive because of this. i mentioned this to the pedi, and she said just try to get LO used to it. but i think my LO is concentrating all her energy to throw up once shes tasted the vitamins.

i asked about mixing it in her bottled BM. the pedi said she may not get used to taking vitamins if i would take that route.

please share your experiences. TIA

i love you, my little mooncake mahal kita

Re: how do you get LO to take vitamins

  • I give DS vitamin d.  I put a drop on his paci or the nipple on his bottle once a day.

  • I put it in LO's bottle and she's never given me a problem. If she for some reason won't take the vitamins later on because of it, I can always mix it into her cereal, purees, etc (just like her box of vitamins says to do). I think at this point it's more important to get the vitamins in my LO than to worry about her possibly not wanting it without the bottle later on.
