I'd say MH is about as far away from my type as you can get.  I always dated "fixer up"/bad boy type of guys.  It was always like a project.  When I met MH, I almost didn't date him because he was too nice.  He also had his shit together.  Most all the guys I dated before him for guys who needed some fixing.  Never happened (except 1), but I guess that is why they are ex's.  Just my random thought of the day.

physically, yes  Personality, sort of (is that a good answer?!) LOL I would prefer someone to be a bit more social, Ben is a home body and is not really good at convo unless he knows you REALLY well!

Not at all, but that's probably why I fell crazy in love with him as soon as I met him. My "type" didn't work out so well for me in the past!

I liked the bad boy, irresponsible, loser, pretty-on-the-outside-ugly-on-the-inside type. My H is pretty on the outside, and a bit of a jerk to people outside of our immediate family. That's as close as he comes to being my type - and that's fine with me! LOL

If I think back to most of my ex-bfs, yeah - most of them seem to have a few things in common.

But on the other hand, my DH is about as polar opposite from me on so many personality traits.........it's amazing how well we balance and compliment each other though.

Not my physical type no.  Exact opposite actually.  I liked tall, brooding, moody, dark, mysterious guys (read:commitment phobes) who I was always determined to get to fall in love with me - I would be the one to change them.  LOL  My DH is so not that guy.  His personality is fantastic and his sense of humor is what got me.  Plus he loves me like no-one ever did before. 

Now I still have my ideal brooding man (Trent Reznor) just in my dreams LOL.

I was like you.  After dating DH for a few months I was bored and almost broke up with him.  When I told my sister this she went off on me and told me I needed psychiatric help.  That the fact that I had issues with dating someone that had their sh!t together and treated me like a princess was clearly a sign of a troubled mind.  I gave it a chance and am so glad I did.  I have an awesome DH and a pretty freakin fantastic kid.

I always dated the guys that liked to have more then one girlfriend but always told me i was the one and they just had to find a way to break up with the other girl.. yeah it never happened.  DH is tall and has dark hair which i love, but built wise he could have more muscle, but i love him to death and wouldn't trade him for anything.  His personality is awesome although he can get on my nerves.. HA

Lokks wise yes, but we are still working on the personality compatability. Love him to death, but sometimes I swear he is doing stuff just to piss me off.

He is very far from what I always thought "my type" was. Very different from any other guy I dated before him. Turns out, I was just wrong about what "my type" really was. Turns out that "my type" was actually DH.

He's tall and slender which is my type, but I usually like the dark, mediterranean, emotional and romantic kinds of guys. DH is not that romatic, and he's blond and blue-eyed.  But he is kind and smart and has his act together, unlike those other guys. Plus he is more emotionally stable than those other guys were.
