We were cleaning and re-arranging furniture and had the shop-vac out. He was all about it. Totally happy as long as he was pushing it around. When I put him down for his morning nap, he had a serious tantrum. Like, the most upset I've ever seen him, throwing himself on the ground, would not let me pick up him - brand new kind of behavior brought on by his obsession with the shop vac. I ended up putting him in his bed since he wouldn't let me comfort him. He stopped crying immediately and went to sleep after a while.
This afternoon, he was having no part of a nap - played in his bed for about 30 minutes and got upset, so we let him up and he went back to playing with the shop vac, which he has done happily for the last 90 minutes.
I hope that means he's going to help me clean when he gets a little bigger...
