Baby Care/CPR Classes

Hi,

Has anyone taken any baby care or CPR classes that they have really liked and recommend. My husband and I want to take them, but really need a good class because we are completely new to infants and need the basics. We live on the UWS, but of course would be willing to go to a class anywhere in Manhattan.

    I took a class at the 92nd St. Y and I really liked it.  It is on the UES though- I would check out the JCC on the West Side.  It's the same thing and I'm sure they also give the class.
    3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
    IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again

    I went to baby care and birthing classes through New York Pres Hospital and I REALLY loved my teacher (Carolyn).

    I'd recommend going to a class through your own hospital, because then they can answer specific questions about how doctors/nurses do things, what the hospital's policies/process are, what they'll give you, lactation specialists, etc.
