What carry does your LO like? DS has OK head control, but not enough for the carries meant for older babies. Yet he likes to look around and doesn't always seem comfortable in the hug hold.

Any suggestions? He seemed to like it better when he was younger. We do have a Bjorn and we are getting an Ergo for Christmas.

DD likes the regular hug hold (facing in towards me).  She never liked the newborn version of it though.  When she falls asleep, I can just tuck it under one of the shoulder pieces.  I used to use the cradle hold a lot in the first month.

i tried putting brandon in it at 6 weeks and he wasn't having it at all. i'm not sure of the name (i'm too lazy to get the book) but i was wrapping it with the cross over in front and back..i think it's just the basic one. i tried again one fussy night at 9w and he loved it. same carry.

I don't put the fabric over her head because she hates it so I have to support her head a little until she falls asleep with her head on my chest.

front cross carry.  It's easy and way faster than the newborn hug hold.

Thanks! I'm going to try the cross carry. I like how that looks and I think LO would like the one solid piece of fabric supporting his body.
