NBR: baking question?

I have to bake 6 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange tonight LOL.  So I just finished making the dough, and it says to chill for an hour.  Is there any reason not to chill it for 2-3 hours instead?  1 hour would have me taking it out right before time to put Liam down for his nap, so it'd be easier to wait until later this afternoon to bake them, but I don't want to screw up my cookie dough!

I don't think that would be a problem at all...most doughs just need to chill for at least an hour so they don't spread too much in the oven.

Natalie and I made cookie dough this morning.  We won't be taking it out of the frig to make cookies until around 4.  We've done this before and it's not been a problem.

Thanks ladies!  I'm leaving it in until after his nap so he can help bake them.  I couldn't think what it would hurt, but I know nothing about baking, so I didn't want to screw them up!
