tell me about Spanx

I have a wedding to go to next weekend.  My dress fits, but "hugs" my butt a little bit.  dh says I'm crazy, but I can feel/see it.  (It's not a tight dress at all, but I feel like it's doesn't sit right at my butt - make sense?)

anyway, do spanx really work?  are they comfortable?  We don't have another wedding/formal event coming up at all so I don't want to waste money if it won't make a big difference and if I won't wear them again for a thousand years.

Yep, they work.  I wore them for my wedding under my silk dress.  I wore the Slim Cognito kind.  They don't make a huge difference, as far as what size you can wear, but they do smooth things out.

I got them BEFORE I learned that my belly was my guts hanging out because my stomach muscles are completely split.  Ergo, there is no way in hell other than surgery that ANYTHING can get my belly put back.

That said, it helped a little bit!  The freakiest part was PEEING THROUGH THE HOLE in the crotch! LMAO  The point is you don't have 'lines' and it sucks you in so the give you a hole to pee.  Bizarre, I tell you.  But, you also would break a sweat getting them off and stripping naked if you had to take off a dress and get them off to pee.

let me tell you about my new best friend... LOL.  i have a couple pair of the shorts style and LOVE them.  i wear them under skirts, etc and they're so comfy and do a great job!

I'm LOL at the hole in the crotch above! LOL  didn't know about that!
