AW - First back carry at the grocery store! PIP

E  & I went grocery shopping with my mom this morning to buy all the stuff we need for Christmas Eve dinner & I decided to wrap him in a DH.  I wasn't brave enough to try to wrap in the car, so I carried him into the store & wrapped in there.  Oh the looks I got while wrapping!  Anyway, it worked out great & everyone wanted to talk to my little "pappoose"!

And halfway through our trip (which took wayyy longer than we had planned!) he got really tired & since he doesn't nap well in back carries I switched him to a FWCC. 

And added a santa hat just for fun!

I don't know if I would have had the nerve to do it in the store by myself if my mom wasn't with me!  But it worked out well & I'll definitely do it again!

 i had to wrap inside walmart yesterday coz it rained and dh was with me. and as soon as i got in the store i freaked out and had to go do it in the bathroom. lol one day i'll be brave enough to just do it! pretty wrap! what size?

It's a Didy Aqua Waves size 7! And I love it! It was the first woven wrap I bought & I bought it blindly off of TBW because it was in my price range & I loved the colorway.  It's still my favorite!

 aww thanks! i've wrapped with a size 7 before and its not as long as i imagined it would be! i thought it would be suuuuper long! but its manageable! yeah urs is pretty! omg i LOVE my geckos! i'm stashified ever since i got it! dont know how long that will last, but i havent had the itch to get another wrap since i got it and thats a miracle! i'm usually itching the next day! its def permastash, and everyone should own it!! what kind of comments did u get? ppl talk about how cute it is and all that but i hardly get n e one that actually approaches me. they just stare. do i look unnaproachable?! or maybe they think its a cultural thing for me coz i'm black?! well i am from kenya so...lol

Well while I was actually wrapping many people seemed to go out of their way to walk by us & stare.  But that's fine, BWing isnt' popular here, so I get it. One of the store employees even stopped & said "well now that's a process!  I've never seen anything like that. I'll have to tell my daughter in law!"

But all the comments I got were positive.  Everyone stopped to say hi & say how content he looked riding on mommy. 

I don't think you look unapproachable!  Maybe some do think it's a cultural thing & are afraid to comment for fear of offending?  I don't know!

I always do a crappy back wrap job when I'm on "display" so I've actually figured out how to do it in the car.  That way I can take my time.  Good for you for being brave.  I really need to just get over it and not care about the looks and stares but it is distracting when I'm trying to wrap and make sure my LO doesn't jump off my back!

When you say yOU WRAP IN THE CAR, ARE U LITERALLY IN THE CAR? I WRAP IN THE PARKING LOT OUTSIDE THE CAR. SORRY FOR THE CAPS MY PHONE IS ACTING STRANGE!
