On the 4th, we took Reese to have her picture taken with Santa.  Our local pet food store was having pics with Santa Paws, & you could bring your pets & kids.  They had a professional photog, & there were scheduled appointments so that you wouldn't have to wait.  Well, when we got there, they were 15-20 min behind.  Not a biggie, but it ended up being the difference between R in a great mood & R ready for a nap, so she was fussy for the pics.  Oh well.  Once the pictures were finished, we found out that there was a TWO HOUR wait to review them & order.  (Keep in mind that this was the day I was headed into the city to visit Morgan & Blayne.)  I was more than annoyed, & I sat there & held R while she napped while DH took our dog home because there was no way she was going to sit there for 2 hours. We finally got to see our pics & placed our order, which was supposed to be ready by the 11th.  (Of course, at this point, I'm realizing that we could have gone to the mall & gotten our pics immediately & cheaper rather than being at the stupid dog food store for 2.5 hours for our "scheduled appt".)

Anyhoo, I finally got the call TODAY that our pics are ready (6 days later than promised), & I went & picked them up.  The photos all have the photog's watermark in the corner.  Granted, it's not that big, I'm not hanging these pics on the wall, etc.  But, I'm just annoyed at the fact that it's there.  Maybe I'm an idiot & a photog usually prints their watermark on pics you pay for.  I don't know, but I'm annoyed.  (Also, do they usually come on one big sheet that you have to cut out yourself? That annoyed me too.)  I knew that I could have easily purchased one picture for $15 & scanned it & printed copies for grandparents, etc.  But, I did the right thing & paid $35 for the pictures I needed to hand out.  After all, this was a pro photog, not a teenager at the mall.

I realize that this is probably no big deal & I'm more irritated than I should be right now, but the whole situation has been a disaster (I'm sure I'll be over it 5 minutes from now).  So, since I'm annoyed at the photog, now I'm going to do the wrong thing & scan it in for all of you who suffered through this post to see.   Thanks for letting me vent!  (Photo credit Fontanez Photography)

Ok, that is seriously long for something so ridic.  Sorry.  Here is the funny part of it all.  The photog was obviously a huge dog lover, & she kept trying to get me to order the pictures where Bailey was looking straight at the camera even though Reese was screaming bloody murder (as in arched back & everything).  I kept trying to pick a picture where Reese looked better, & she kept pointing out that the dog wasn't looking at the camera.

This entire post from soup to nuts including the pic just made me piss my pants. Dani, I LOVE you. I was even doing the h-h-h-h-h-h shake as I'm trying so hard to get mari to sleep next to me. Xoxoxo. I'm sorry you're Pissed!!

I'm so sorry Dani- I would be annoyed, too! Is it worth it to you to complain- possibly for a refund? If it's simply the idea of getting a better pic- you could always go to the mall (or Bass Pro Shop for free!) this weekend. Hugs! Just know that ten years from now you will look back on it & laugh :-)

  hahaha - I can't believe you've never heard that expression before!  It's almost as common as fuggettabatit!

How frustrating Although I would have loved to see the pictures that she thought were "better" with the dog looking and Reese crying lol!

It is rediculous! There is no reason you should have to wait that long for something you made an appointment for. I think you should call and complain, even if you don't get and money back maybe they can run it better next year. Seems like someone else besides the photographer should have been helping to pick out the prints. Either that or they should have allowed more time for appointments.

I would be annoyed too.  That's pretty lame, IMO.  But the pic is pretty cute!
