XP: Unviable pregnancy :(

My first beta was 338 at 21dpo and my second just came back at 434. My OB said that it's 100% not viable and I have an appt later today to discuss my options. She wants to give me a methotrexate (sp?) shot and a rhogam shot (I'm blood type A negative) and then continue to follow my blood work.

She also thinks that I should cancel my trip to spend Xmas with family in Hawaii (I'm supposed to leave Monday and she's not sure if it's tubal so she's scared if something were to happen on the plane, there's no where to land mid-way). I'd like to take the natural route and let things happen on their own and I think being around family during this time will help me through it. I know I need to wait for my appt to hear my options/risks, but any advice/opinions/experience would be appreciated. TIA

I went through this in Oct 2009. I am so sorry you're experiencing this. It was so difficult to hear the doctor say that my pregnancy was not viable. I understand your desire to do it naturally. I had a D&C myself. They only gave me the methotrexate shot because my hCG levels kept rising even after the D&C (although not a good rate). Apparently there was some remaining tissue that continued to give off the hormone. If that had continued without having the shot my health could be in jeopardy. My main point is, please don't dismiss the methotrexate because it could be in your best interest.
