Any Q's for an egg donor?

I've been lurking on this board for awhile. I'm a regular on other boards (this is an AE). I've been an egg donor three times. The first two resulted in pregnancies (the first family should be having their baby soon). It's too early to find out about the 3rd set of parents.

I lurk over here mainly to get insight about what the recipients are going through. I set up an AE primarily to ask a question about the trigger shot. I had it on Sat. the retrieval was Mon. The dr. mentioned that he wasn't able to get very many eggs (11 vs. the 20+ from previous cycles), but didn't elaborate about what that meant.

I was googling about the HCG shot and read that I should get a + HPT for at least 10 days after the 10,000 IM injection. I decided to use my extra pregnancy test on Wed morning to see if the HCG was still in my system. I immediately got a negative HPT. Not even a faint line.

I'm worrying b/c I really want this to work for the parents. I guess I'm asking if you have any idea why the HCG left my system so fast? Does that mean it didn't work? FWIW, I got a + HPT on Sunday morning and a negative HPT 3 days later.

The trigger is just to release the eggs and they did, in fact, get eggs, so the fact that you are now getting a -HPT doesn't have any effect any longer.  Basically the deed is done.  And what a generous deed it is!!
