16 and Pregnant Show

Does anyone else think that the commercials on MTV's 16 and Pregnant are extremely inappropriate?  A Jersey Shore commercial came on when I was watching yesterday, and the new girl announced, "I brought a vibrator if anyone needs one."  (Gross!  Who shares those?)  Then they play the trailer for the show Skins all of the time.  (It contains many fast clips of half dressed teens and what looks like a few orgies.)  I also saw the new Dolce and Gabbana commercial where the commercial ends when the man takes the woman's swimsuit top off.  Then we cut back to 16 and Pregnant where the dangers of teenage pregnancy are discussed.  This annoys me.

Most of the people that I know that watch 16 & Pregnant are not teenagers, they are in their 20s or even 30s. I know that when I was a teen, as long as I was living in my parents house I was not "allowed" to watch MTV at all.

I should add that Jersey Shore is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know it is trashy and vile, but I just can't help myself

I have never even thought of that!  HA!  And I'm seriously tired of that D&G commercial.   I've noticed that they broadcast Bristol Palin's PSA during TLC's "A Baby Story."

yeah probably not the best commercials to be running. But then again I think some of the shows and things they show on channels like ABC Family are inappropriate too. Crazy the things they put on these days.

Yup... I haven't watched MTV since the days when they actually had music videos on.

Whatever did happen to music videos?  I'm tired of the D&G commercial, too.  In fact I'm tired of all those skinny models modeling crap I can't fit into right now.  I am excited about the baby and proud of my bump, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to a round, broken out face and a bigger butt.  Stupid models.

I'm not sure if you've met some of the teenager's at your local high school, but I can gaurantee most (not all) don't care what they are allowed or not allowed to do/watch.  Have you seen some of the movies they are going too? I know plenty of teens who watch MTV... I know a lot middle schoolers watch MTV as well... I really think it's sad. I wish what you said was really how it is.
