I ended up in the ER last night but this question is kind of unrelated to that. They drew blood and said my white blood cell count is good, especially for a pregnant woman. They said it was 10.4, I believe. Anyway, here's the unrelated part. I have some nasty allergy or sinus crap going on in my nose/throat and I'm debating on whether it's allergy or sinus. I had sinus surgery and now I can't tell if it's an infection. I'm thinking if it's an infection then my WBC would be elevated, no?
my doctor has told me that allergy and sinus infection can feel the same. I just don't want to spend another $30 after my ER trip just to find out it's allergies and will go away on its own.
Re: any drs, nurses, or who knows about WBC?
thanks everyone
Grace....I'm allergic to air
I take weekly allergy shots, daily allergy meds, and I still got this crud. Prior to sinus surgery I'd already have a sinus infection. Typically I get a sinus infection lasting from Nov. to March. I am using what I can and also using a neti pot 2x a day.
