I posted something similar on 0-3. I was wondering if you girls could please tell me what monitor and/or carrier you use. Im going through the BRU site and trying to find a monitor and carrier and everything seems to have poor reviews. I dont want to spend $200 on a monitor if its a piece of junk. Help please! TIA!!
Re: please recommend your monitor & carrier
I love my Angelcare monitor. We started with a video monitor but found it not necessary.
I've been through a few carriers-Snugli, Hotsling, Mai Tai, and a Beco Butterfly. I would only recommend the Beco Butterfly out of those.
We have the Sony BabyCall monitor (just audio). We haven't had a single issue with it. It has great range and battery life.
For carriers - I loved the Moby Wrap for the first few months when DS just wanted to be held and snuggled all of the time. It took a few tries to get the trick of putting it on but was so worth it and is very comfortable. Now, I use the Ergo and absolutely love it. After trying several other carriers that hurt my back or shoulders, it is the only one I would recommend. It goes up to 45 pounds and you can front, back or hip carry.

I love the Summer Infant Best View Handheld monitor. Good picture, (color and b&w, pans and zooms too) good range (I had to water my neighbor's plants this summer when they were out of town while DS was napping and I could still see him fine from their yard.).. Battery is allright, I turn it off when he's not napping and I leave it plugged in on the nightstand overnight.
We also have the Sony and love it.
For carriers, I used the Moby when DD was smaller, then the Beco Gemini. I really like both.
