poll: do the holidays stress you out?

They do for me. I'm really behind on everything this year too so that really doesn't help. I always feel like there is so much to do and so many places to go it just stressful and I'll be glad when its over.Oh, plus we are hosting my huge @ss family here so I have to clean my house really good sometime and try and think of where we're going to put everyone... sigh

  • Yes! My husband and I were talking about this last night. We have so many places to go and we don't get to enjoy the day as just the 4 of us. Its annoying.

  • not usually but this year yes! We live upstairs from IL's and everyone comes here for Christmas Eve. With a newborn that is only 3 weeks old and a toddler we just started Christmas shopping last night, luckily IL's watched them so we didn't have to take them out in the freezing cold. I just feel like with only a week to go there is no way I will be ready and I'm not all that excited about having everyone here with a newborn. On the other hand I am very excited for Christmas this year because with DS being 2.5 years old I know he is going to really enjoy it all :o)

  • No, not since I moved out of my mother's house. My mom has this dramatic way of dragging everyone else into her stress and "cancels Christmas because it's all ruined" at least 3 times during the month of December. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. My husband and I really enjoy Christmas and this will be our 6th stress free holiday together this year.

We must have the same mother. I live 5 minutes away from my mother and  she must call me a dozen times a day to update me on the status of things that don't even matter. It's like reading a Cathy comic strip.

  • Kinda, because I know we will have to see my fiance's family and I honestly can't stand his mom, she is a wack job..

BUT, it's my year to have DS on Christmas eve/Christmas morning so I am super pumped about that!!!
