possible mastitis? WWYD?

Okay, so I thought I had a plugged duct. I contacted a LC and did the warm soaks, heating packs, hot showers, nursed frequently, and massaged. But it didn't come unplugged. It's now hard and larger and doesn't get any smaller when I nurse, and now when I pump if LO isn't awake I get barely an oz when I used to get 2.5-3oz. It is warm to the touch and pink but only where the lump is. I don't have a fever, and I can't tell if I'm just tired from a newborn or if I have an infection.

My question is: should I try and get an appt with my OB right away or should I go to the ER. MY OB is like 1 1/2 hrs away, and I don't have time to get a referral to go to a closer one. Should I just go to the ER? I am just worried that if I did go to an ER they wouldn't know as much about the situation as an OB would. WWYD? The OB opens soon, but I would like some advice. I am worried I have mastitis but even more worried that it could be something worse TIA

What about a walk-in clinic or maybe see if your OB would call something in? Not to scare you but maybe the fever hasn't set in yet.  I would definitely try to get something before it gets worse, mastitis is nasty.  If I feel an infection coming on I call the doc right away to try to get the antibiotics in me before I really start feeling crappy.

I called and they want to see me. So my husband is going to drive me there, so he can take care of LO while I'm in the office. They want to see me to check me. It sucks having to go down there but hopefully I don't have mastitis and they can give me something to prevent it. Ugh I just want to not feel sore!!!
