Okay don't laugh but many moons ago when I fell pregnant I knew I wanted to CD but had only ever seen PF with plastic pants on my youngest sister so was a little scared of all the choices out there. We decided to go with PF and Bummis covers for size one and give me more time to research. We got a free Itty Bitty D'lish Snap in One from a program the goverment does in our area to promote CDing and my DH really liked it so I found some used and added those to our stash as well. Unfourtunetly the are expensive even used and only come sized no option for one size. So I have bitten the bullet and gotten over my fear and bough our first AIO One Size. I just went with an inexpensive brand KaWaii but have heard good reviews and have a friend who loves them so I hope we will too. I am sure DH will love them as he finds PF a little hard to manage. (I still LOVE PF by the way) . Of to prep them!

Yeah the program is really cool it is run by the council (equivalent of US county) through a local shop. The woman at the shop goes though all the different cloth options and then you get 6 PF, one OS fitted, one Bummis Super Bright cover, one Itty Bitti D'lish Snap in One, 12 fleece liners, and some disposable liners (I think around 12 I didn't count those). We already knew we wanted to CD but it was a great way to learn about the other CD choices. I learned that at least for me I found fitted no easier than PF (you have realized I had used PF before so knew A LOT of the folds already and since Snappis had come around in between my experience with younger sister and DD it was now SUPER easy). Plus taking DH with me really brought him on board he was reluctantly agreeing before we went to pick up the free trial pack.

I've never used prefolds, except to stuff my pocket diapers, I'm sure they are just as easy though, I really have found CD to be so easy!

And sidenote, I love the term "fell pregnant". I know it means nothing of the sort to actual British people, but it reminds me of my panicked unexpected BFP a year ago lol.
