Does your LO fall asleep on his/her own? Our LO is 3 weeks old. She is a really good sleeper - naps a lot during the day and doesn't have too bad of a time sleeping at night. She'll either fall asleep while I'm nursing her or we'll have to hold her to get her to fall asleep. She isn't able to put herself to sleep yet if she is laying in her chair or bassinet.
Re: Does LO fall asleep on own?
It really depends on the day. Some nights she looks like she isn't going to go to sleep with me holding her so I put her in her bassinett and she looks around and goes to sleep
some nights she falls asleep in my arms and then I lay her down.
LO started to fall asleep on her own maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. She started to realize when it's 10:30 and starts fussing. I swaddle her, put her paci in, walk around for maybe 2 minutes and put her in her PnP in our room. I have the bear that sings, plays nature sounds and womb sounds attached to her PnP and I turn it on the womb sounds. (They have it at Target... I was one of the best gifts I've been given.)
She normally falls right asleep but there are some nights that she will just lay there talking to herself for 20 minutes, but she never cries!
Give it some time. It'll come!

Is it falling asleep on his own if I have to get up and hit the button on his mobile and pop his pacifier back in every 15-20 minutes for an hour?
He doesn't need to be held, fed, or rocked to sleep. We never did and he hasn't seemed to miss it. Really glad we don't have to make that transition.
Nope. I have to hold DS until he is in a deep sleep before putting him down in his crib.
ETA: He will sometimes fall asleep in his bouncy seat and almost always falls asleep in his car seat when we go anywhere.
