Babies: 3 - 6 Months

There is hope! Sometimes baby just needs to be ready.

After months of trying EVERYTHING to get DD to fall asleep on her own and STTN....   we gave up and decided to just relax and give it time.

And then a couple nights ago, DH laid Maddie down in her crib awake, and within 5 minutes she fell asleep.  Ever since then, for every nap and bedtime, we've just laid her down and turned on her mobile, and she's been asleep within minutes. And all this is in the middle of cutting her first tooth!

I honestly don't know what did the trick. Maybe it's that she learned how to roll over on her belly.  Maybe it's that she just needed to mature. I don't know, but I can tell you that it's been amazing.

Yes, I know that babies go through sleep regressions, so this could be temporary. But DD has never, ever put herself to sleep before,  so we feel incredibly excited.

Just wanted to give you guys hope.  I agonized, cried, and stressed about what we might be doing wrong. And then I let go. And everything is working out.

GL!
