First cold :( Advice?

DS fussed (grunted and groaned) all night long.  When he woke up this mornig he sounded really congested.  There's nothing visible in his nose, but he rattles when he breathes.  It sounds like snoring even though he's wide awake.

 So far I've encouraged him to eat and sleep.  He seems to be happy to get the extra z's.  Any other advice for taking care of a 7 week old with a little cold?

Cool mist humidifier running close by while LO sleeps really helps and for drainage, nosefrida!

4 things..

1. cool mist humidifier- not warm. cool is recommended

2. saline drops

3. bulb sygrine

4. ran a steamy shower and take baby and sit in bathroom and pat his back, will help break up congestion..

**colds can last forever in little infants b/c you can't give them medicine, if it doesn't start sounding better i would take him in b/c it could get in his chest (rsv, bronchilitis, pnemonia, etc) or in his ears.

Thanks!  I'm hoping that with a little pampering (and luck) he'll get over this before it progresses into something worse!
