Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Plane entertainment??

We are taking our almost 10 month DS on an 11 hour trip to get home for Christmas. We are on a service flight so our plane stops in 3 different small, military airports before getting to our final destination. Total travel time is 11 hours!!

Any suggestions for keeping LO busy? I have lots of snacks planned, some books and a sesame street music DVD and portable player (it will be the first time I've EVER let him watch TV).

 Thanks in advance

Re: Plane entertainment??

  • First off, you don't want a lot of things that make noise. The DVD is cool, but you don't want to annoy the other passengers on the flight with bells and whistles. Something that worked for us was I brought a long some things that DS had never seen or played with before, like fat necklaces, hair bows, a new (quiet) toy, etc. The only thing that kept him busy and occupied was all the new stuff. It worked well.

  • At 8 months cherrios worked well for me for awhile.  Fed one at a time LO and that kept her happy for a bit.  Not sure it will work on an older LO
