Progressive Auto Insurance

I am trying to reduce some of our bills for 2011.  We currently have State Farm Auto Insurance and are considering switching to Progressive.  Do you have experience submitting claims and are they pretty good about processing them?  Also, have your rates changed since you signed up?  TIA!

We've had progressive for about 3-4 yrs now. We've had to go through them twice, both times it was not our fault. They were pretty good about getting things figured out, nothing to complain about. I'm pretty sure we get a discount for having it for 3 yrs or something.

I sell insurance for American Family and help my customers when they have claims with other carriers.  In my experience Progressive handles claims quickly and efficiently.  The main problem with them is that you don't have a local agent, there are so many times when you may need your agent to go to bat for you, it's nice to have that personal contact and someone you trust.  Good luck!

I have them and love them. Like love, love, love them. I was in an out of state accident in the middle of no where, my car was totaled and they took awesome care of me. They took care of everything for me. Everytime I renew my rates go down quite a bit.  I've had a few ins co's over the years and progressive has been the best by far. They comercials are annoying though.

We've had progressive for a while and love the car insurance.  We've had a few claims (DH kept getting chips in his windshield and someone hit his car while it was parked) and have had no problems.

We also have the home insurance through them though and we HATE it.  It's really difficult to get the correct person on the phone and they never seem to know what they're talking about.

I have them and I LOVE them. I had a claim this year that was totally my fault (backed into a light post) and the girl came right to my house, took pictures and cut me a check that day. My rates also went down this year.

I have Progressive Auto insurance and I love it.  I had Geico previously and the difference is like night and day.  I have had two claims, neither one my fault, and the folks on the phone and the adjuster that came to my house were super friendly and very service-oriented.  I highly recommend them.

I?d suggest you get some car insurance quotes from other companies as well, and see what fits your budget. Try and get one especially from The Hartford?s website too. It?s a good company to with. They?ve handled my car accident claim and it was one of the smoothest claim experiences ever.

I have Progressive. I'm satisfied. I haven't had to make any claims ::knock on wood:: so I can't attest to that. I did use them for road side assistance & they where very helpful. THey called the police for me, stuck at an intersection, & they also called me back w/ in an hour to check on me.

I have Progressive insurance. I've submitted 2 small claims since we've been with them. One for a minute chip on my windshield and the other for a dent that was made in my hood after something flew up and hit my car on the interstate. Neither was an emergency but they sent an adjuster within 2 days of each incident to assess the damage. They are very helpful and friendly. I recommend them.
