Toddler activities in Ft Lauderdale?

Hello,

I hope you don't mind a post like this-- I'll be visiting Ft Lauderdale from frigid PA in the next week.  The weather looks amazing compared to here where the wind chills are in the teens.  Can you recommend any toddler activities in/near Ft Lauderdale, especially anything outdoors-- like zoos or little amusement parks?  My son is 20 months old.
