A hello & an update

Hey - I have been MIA for the past week, my FIL passed away last Tuesday morning. I am just getting back to work today because E came down with one heck of a cold Sunday night, my mom is taking care of him today because I had to get back to work. Um.. I am kind of scatter brained lately, my FIL's passing has really been tough on all of us. He was such an amazing man, he will be missed so much. His passing has absolutely changed my perspective on life and how fragile and short it is.

We had my mom over for E's birthday (can't believe he is 1) on Saturday, he did not enjoy the cake - who would have thought that my child would not like sweets (I have a wicked sweet tooth)? He now has 3 teeth coming in all at once, he is just so "grown up" looking.

Anyway, I hope all of you are doing well, and happy belated birthday to all of you early December babies.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and hope your little guy starts feeling better soon.

We just lost my SIL this past week, and it really does put things in perspective.  Like my DS, your little guy has a big job over the next few weeks keeping everyone's spirits up.  I hope you and your family are able to find some peace and happiness during the holidays.
