DD's birthday is March 12 (technically still winter). I love the idea of Winter Onederland Theme, mainly because we are in South Florida and never really get to experience "winter". However I don't know if it would be too weird since the weather will most likely be warm by then.
What would you think if you were invited to a Winter Onederland Party in South Florida in Mid- March?
Does it have to be cold out for the theme to work or should I not care about the weather and just run with the theme?
Re: Winter Onederland - S. Fla in March?
I see no problem having a Winter ONEderland party in Florida. The issue for me is the time of year. I can see having a Winter ONEderland party November-February, but March just seems a little late in the season to me.
However, if you have your heart set on the winter theme for March then these cookies may be cute for the party.

If I were invited to a similar party, I honestly would think it was a little "off." I just don't consider March to be a very wintery month, Florida or not.
If it makes YOU happy though, by all means do it.
Its not the location, its the time of year. However, if your heart is set on it, do it. I love the theme (we're doing the same one) but I'm sure there are also great ideas for spring out there.
But again, if you like the idea, go for it!
March feels like Spring to me. So I might feel like that theme was a little off for the time of year.
BTW, we'll be having DS' party on your DD's birthday.

This is exactly what I was thinking!! But so many people have been telling me that they find it odd and I don't really get it. I didn't think a theme had to make sense... it is a theme. I wish I never told anyone my idea and therefore wouldn't be second guessing myself.
Thanks to everyone for the replies.
