I dread nap time

DS #1 is having issues falling asleep on his own and wants someone to lay with him but will usually throw a fit if you get up before he's asleep or VERY close.  We are working to correct this but its still an issue.  So because of this I have to get DS #2 down for a nap before I can put #1 down.  Problem is, if #2 naps too much in the morning (if we are running errands or something) he doesnt want to go down in the afternoon.  Also, even if I give him something to do #1 doesnt want to leave me alone while trying to get #2 down and this prevents #2 from relaxing enough to go down.
